Descriptions when packed

Dimensions: Length: 470mm Width: 230mm Gusset: 120mm
Colour: Blue White Orange Black
Weight:  4kg when packed

Ingredients

100% Namibian Hardwood
The briquettes are made from hardwood obtained from the clearing of invasive bush on Namibian farms.
The invasive bush is cleared as it prevents the proper replenishing of the ground water reserves in an already arid country. The dense bush prevents the grasslands to be used as grazing for livestock and wildlife.
The Blackthorn (Acacia Mellifera) makes up 80% of the packed product. The balance is made-up of Candle Thorn (Acacia Hebeclada) and Mopane (Colophospermum mopane).
Food grade binding starch.

Directions of use

1. Place a fire starter onto the braai area.
2. Open the bag and shake the briquettes / charcoal over the fire-starter, not totally covering it.
3. Light the fire-starter and soon the briquettes / charcoal will ignite.
4. When the flames have died down and ash has appeared on the briquettes / charcoal, spread the briquettes / charcoal evenly across the braai area.

Warnings

1. Never use indoors. Proper ventilation is essential because fire gives off toxic carbon monoxide gas.
2. Never allow children and pets near a lit braai or leave it unattended.
3. Never attempt to light using petrol/methylated spirits or other flammable liquids (can cause dangerous flash flame).
4. Never place hot ash into a dustbin. Wait until ash is cold. 2019/01/10/Charcoal/Version 4
5. Never cook over flames as it will burn the food on the outside without cooking the inside.
6. Never braai near flammable objects, overhangs and trees.
